Overview
VDBH 79 is a poorly populated, very dense object of intermediate C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a moderate* distance, near the mid-plane, affected by high extinction. It is catalogued as an extremely massive, near-solar metallicity, intermediate-age cluster (see Parameters). It is poorly studied in the literature.
(*): The parallax distance estimate (~3.43 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~6.64 kpc).
