Overview

â„šī¸
UPK 312 is a poorly populated, loose object of intermediate C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a close distance, above the mid-plane, affected by low extinction. It is catalogued as a near-solar metallicity, intermediate-age cluster, but with a large variance across recent sources for the absorption, age, and metallicity parameters (see Parameters). It is poorly studied in the literature.

Liu et al. (2025)
Classified as tidal capture (resonant trapping binary) 97 along with CWNU_1137.

Palma et al. (2025)
Classified as optical pair P90, along with CWNU_1137.

Almeida et al. (2025)
Mass determination: intermediate fit. Isochrone match: good fit.

Cavallo et al. (2024)
Gold sample.

Hunt & Reffert (2024)
Classified as open cluster. CMD class: 1.00 (50th percentile).

Hunt & Reffert (2023)
Classified as open cluster. CMD class: 1.00 (50th percentile).

Piecka & Paunzen (2021)
Belongs to cluster aggregate 'Agg04' along with Alessi 2.
