Overview

â„šī¸
Teutsch 14a is a rich, very dense object of very high C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a moderate distance, near the mid-plane, affected by high extinction. It is catalogued as a massive, near-solar metallicity, intermediate-age cluster, but with a large variance across recent sources for the age and mass parameters (see Parameters). It is poorly studied in the literature.

Note: This object shares a significant percentage of members with a later reported entry. See table with shared members information.

Palma et al. (2025)
Classified as tidal capture (resonant trapping pair) P24, along with HSC_108.

Cavallo et al. (2024)
Silver sample.

Hunt & Reffert (2024)
Classified as open cluster. CMD class: 0.12 (50th percentile).

Hunt & Reffert (2023)
Classified as open cluster. CMD class: 0.12 (50th percentile).

Bica et al. (2019)
The Preliminary Amateur Open Cluster Catalog, Version 08/03/2003.

Morales et al. (2013)
Classified as morphological type 'OC2' (totally exposed cluster without correlation with ATLASGAL emission). Morphological flag: exposed cluster, without submm emission.
