Overview
SAI 43 is a rich, very dense object of intermediate C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a large* distance, well above the mid-plane, affected by low extinction. It is catalogued as a near-solar metallicity, intermediate-age cluster (see Parameters). It is well-studied in the literature.
(*): The parallax distance estimate (~5.48 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~3.90 kpc).
