Overview

â„šī¸
RSG6 is a sparse, very loose object of low C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a moderate* distance, near the mid-plane, affected by low extinction. It is catalogued as a young cluster (see Parameters). It is rarely studied in the literature, with no articles listed in the last 7 years.

âš ī¸ Warning: This is possibly a duplicate object, which shares a significant percentage of members with at least one previously reported entry. See table with shared members information.

(*): The parallax distance estimate (~2.60 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~0.35 kpc).

âš ī¸ Warning: the low UTI value and no obvious signs of duplication (Cdup=0.4) indicate that this is quite probably an asterism, moving group, or artifact, and not a real open cluster.
