Overview
OCSN 244 is a very rich, very dense object of intermediate C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a very close* distance, below the mid-plane. It is catalogued as a very young cluster (see Parameters). It was recently reported in the literature. (*): The parallax distance estimate (~0.39 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~0.76 kpc).
Note: This is likely a unique object, which shares a moderate percentage of members with at least one previously reported entry, and a moderate percentage with at least one entry reported in the same catalogue. See table with shared members information.
