Overview
OCSN 198 is a poorly populated, very dense object of very high C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a very close* distance, near the mid-plane, affected by moderate extinction. It is catalogued as a young cluster (see Parameters). It was recently reported in the literature.
(*): The parallax distance estimate (~0.39 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~1.32 kpc).
