Overview

â„šī¸
OC 0287 is a sparse, loose object of intermediate C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a relatively close* distance, near the mid-plane, affected by moderate extinction. It is catalogued as a massive, near-solar metallicity, intermediate-age cluster, but with a large variance across recent sources for the age and metallicity parameters (see Parameters). It is rarely studied in the literature.

(*): The parallax distance estimate (~1.60 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~2.48 kpc).

Note: This is likely a unique object, which shares a moderate percentage of members with at least one previously reported entry. See table with shared members information.
