ℹ️
NGC 6791 is a very rich, very dense object of very high C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a moderate distance, well above the mid-plane, affected by low extinction. It is catalogued as an extremely massive, near-solar metallicity, very old cluster, but with a large variance across recent sources for the metallicity and mass parameters (see Parameters). It is very well-studied in the literature.

Note: This object contains blue stragglers according to at least one source.

Rain et al. (2021)
The red limit of the straggler area is BP-RP=1.20.

Ahumada & Lapasset (2007)
The red limit of the straggler area is (B-V)=0.8. According to (1965ApJ...142..655K), stars 96, 63, and 106 are probable cluster members. Stars 63 and 106 are cited as blue stragglers in (1988PASP..100..338G). In (1965ApJ...142..655K) attention is drawn to several `red stragglers' that are probable cluster members. The CCD study (1990MNRAS.243..492K) mentions the existence of a possible FK Comae star. Spectra from (1965ApJ...142..655K): star 39, G0V; star 45, F2IV; star 102, F2IV; star 67, G2V; star 129, F9V; star 63, G0V. Star 123 = V6 (1993MNRAS.265...34K) is an EW variable (1993MNRAS.265...34K); the authors also discover two EW variables (V1 and V7) that they mark as stragglers: both stars have mean (B-V) colours redder than our limit of 0.8.
