Kronberger 31 is a poorly populated, very loose object of intermediate C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a very large* distance, above the mid-plane, affected by high extinction. It is catalogued as an extremely massive, near-solar metallicity, intermediate-age cluster (see Parameters). It is moderately studied in the literature.
