Overview

â„šī¸
HSC 273 is a sparse, very loose object of low C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a moderate* distance, below the mid-plane, affected by high extinction. It is catalogued as a massive, metal-poor, young cluster (see Parameters). It was recently reported in the literature.

(*): The parallax distance estimate (~4.25 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~3.12 kpc).

Note: This is very likely a unique object, which shares a small percentage of members with at least one previously reported entry. See table with shared members information.

âš ī¸ Warning: the low UTI value and no obvious signs of duplication (Cdup=0.88) indicate that this is quite probably an asterism, moving group, or artifact, and not a real open cluster.
