HSC 2406 is a sparse, very dense object of very high C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a moderate distance, near the mid-plane, affected by low extinction. It is catalogued as a very young cluster (see Parameters). It was recently reported in the literature.

Classified as primordial binary cluster 10 along with ASCC_65, and as primordial binary cluster 228 along with NGC_3590, and of multiple system 6 along with ASCC_65 and NGC_3590.

Palma et al. (2025)
Part of multiple system G154, along with NGC_3590, NGC_3572, ASCC_65 and UBC_659.
