HSC 1887 is a poorly populated, loose object of very high C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a very large* distance, well below the mid-plane, affected by low extinction. It is catalogued as a near-solar metallicity, intermediate-age cluster (see Parameters). It was recently reported in the literature.

(*): The parallax distance estimate (~10.89 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~7.08 kpc).
