Overview
HSC 1728 is a moderately populated, very dense object of very high C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a large* distance, well below the mid-plane, affected by moderate extinction. It is catalogued as a massive, near-solar metallicity, intermediate-age cluster (see Parameters). It was recently reported in the literature.
(*): The parallax distance estimate (~8.61 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~6.27 kpc).
