Overview

â„šī¸
Gulliver 55 is a moderately populated, loose object of very high C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a moderate distance, below the mid-plane, affected by low extinction. It is catalogued as a near-solar metallicity, old cluster, but with a large variance across recent sources for the age and metallicity parameters (see Parameters). It is poorly studied in the literature.

Note: This object contains blue stragglers according to at least one source.

Almeida et al. (2025)
Mass determination: worst fit. Isochrone match: good fit.

Cavallo et al. (2024)
Gold sample.

Hunt & Reffert (2024)
Classified as open cluster. CMD class: 0.64 (50th percentile).

Hunt & Reffert (2023)
Classified as open cluster. CMD class: 0.64 (50th percentile).

Hu et al. (2021)
Ellipticities (core, all): e_core=0.4217, e_all=0.2862.

Rain et al. (2021)
This cluster was not include in (Dias et al., 2002A&A...389..871D, Cat. B/ocl), parameters log(t)=9.20, E(b-v)=0.28 and Z=0.05 are from Monteiro & Dias (2019MNRAS.487.2385M). Apparently star Gaia DR2 1821639395722981888 is a massive straggler.
