Overview

â„šī¸
Grasdalen 1 is a poorly populated, very dense object of intermediate C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a very close* distance, above the mid-plane, affected by very high extinction. It is catalogued as a near-solar metallicity, young cluster (see Parameters). It is rarely studied in the literature.

(*): The parallax distance estimate (~0.14 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~0.94 kpc).

Note: This object shares a large percentage of members with 2 later reported entries. See table with shared members information.

Bica et al. (2003)
Classified as infrared cluster (IRC).

Lada & Lada (2003)
Embedded cluster within âˆŧ2 Kpc of the Sun.

Dias et al. (2002)
IR-only cluster (Archinal, B. A. & Hynes, S. J. 2003); cat V3.5 (Jan 2016)
