Overview

FSR 1725 is a moderately populated, dense object of intermediate C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a moderate* distance, below the mid-plane, affected by high extinction. It is catalogued as a massive, metal-rich, intermediate-age cluster (see Parameters). It is moderately studied in the literature.

(*): The parallax distance estimate (~4.76 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~2.60 kpc).

Note: This object shares a large percentage of members with a later reported entry. See table with shared members information.
