Overview

â„šī¸
FSR 0238 is a rich, very dense object of very high C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a relatively close distance, near the mid-plane, affected by high extinction. It is catalogued as a near-solar metallicity, very young cluster, but with a large variance across recent sources for the age and metallicity parameters (see Parameters). It is well-studied in the literature.

Note: This object shares a moderate percentage of members with at least one entry reported in the same catalogue. See table with shared members information.

Palma et al. (2025)
Classified as optical pair P116, along with HSC_630.

Cavallo et al. (2024)
Silver sample.
