Overview

â„šī¸
FoF 282 is a rich, very dense object of very high C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a moderate* distance, below the mid-plane, affected by high extinction. It is catalogued as a massive, near-solar metallicity, intermediate-age cluster (see Parameters). It is poorly studied in the literature.

(*): The parallax distance estimate (~2.81 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~1.95 kpc).

Relatively close High extinction Massive Near-solar metallicity Intermediate age

Almeida et al. (2025)
Mass determination: invalid due to poor quality CMD. Isochrone match: worst fit.

Cavallo et al. (2024)
Gold sample.
