Overview

â„šī¸
DB2001 20 is a sparse, very loose object of intermediate C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a moderate* distance, above the mid-plane, affected by high extinction. It is catalogued as a low-mass, young cluster (see Parameters). It is rarely studied in the literature.

(*): The parallax distance estimate (~3.60 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~1.82 kpc).

Note: This object shares a significant percentage of members with a later reported entry. See table with shared members information.

âš ī¸ Warning: the low UTI value and no obvious signs of duplication (Cdup=1.0) indicate that this is quite probably an asterism, moving group, or artifact, and not a real open cluster.

Bica et al. (2003)
Classified as infrared cluster (IRC).

Dutra & Bica (2001)
Mostly a resolved cluster in radio hii region w75n, pair with w75n ir cluster
