Overview

â„šī¸
CWNU 3593 is a moderately populated, very loose object of intermediate C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a very large* distance, well below the mid-plane, affected by low extinction. It is catalogued as a very old cluster (see Parameters). It was recently reported in the literature.

(*): The parallax distance estimate (~12.22 kpc) differs significantly from the median photometric distance (~6.46 kpc).

Note: This object contains blue stragglers according to at least one source.

Note: This object shares a very small percentage of members with at least one entry reported in the same catalogue. See table with shared members information.

âš ī¸ Warning: the low UTI value and no obvious signs of duplication (Cdup=1.0) indicate that this is quite probably an asterism, moving group, or artifact, and not a real open cluster.
