Overview

â„šī¸
BDSB 93 is a moderately populated, very dense object of intermediate C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a relatively close distance, near the mid-plane, affected by moderate extinction. It is catalogued as a near-solar metallicity, very young cluster, but with a large variance across recent sources for the absorption, age, and metallicity parameters (see Parameters). It is poorly studied in the literature.

Palma et al. (2025)
Classified as genetic pair P187, along with HSC_1740.

Almeida et al. (2025)
Mass determination: invalid due to poor quality CMD. Isochrone match: worst fit.

Cavallo et al. (2024)
Wood sample.

Hunt & Reffert (2024)
Classified as open cluster. CMD class: 0.47 (50th percentile).

Hunt & Reffert (2023)
Classified as open cluster. CMD class: 0.47 (50th percentile).

Bica et al. (2003)
Classified as infrared cluster (IRC).
