Overview

â„šī¸
BDSB 102 is a moderately populated, very loose object of low C3 quality. Its parallax locates it at a moderate distance, near the mid-plane, affected by high extinction. It is catalogued as a massive, very young cluster (see Parameters). It is rarely studied in the literature.

Note: This is very likely a unique object, which shares a small percentage of members with at least one previously reported entry. See table with shared members information.

âš ī¸ Warning: the low UTI value and no obvious signs of duplication (Cdup=0.84) indicate that this is quite probably an asterism, moving group, or artifact, and not a real open cluster.

Morales et al. (2013)
Classified as morphological type 'OC2' (totally exposed cluster without correlation with ATLASGAL emission). Morphological flag: exposed cluster, without submm emission.

Bica et al. (2003)
Classified as stellar group (IRGr).
